ibis Budget Charleroi Airport

The hotel is conveniently located about a 25-minute walk from the airport terminal, easily accessible via the sidewalk. It's perfect for a one-night stay since the room is quite small. There’s no hairdryer or kettle in the room, and unfortunately, none are available at the reception either. However, there is a microwave at the reception, which we used to heat water for tea and food. There’s also a vending machine with snacks and drinks available. The bed was comfortable, and the room was equipped with soap and towels. There’s a bus (A3) from the hotel to the airport, which is very convenient. Alternatively, you can arrange a taxi for €13.

Ok, so you can actually walk to and from the airport if you are fit. It is about 2 km walk in 25 min. The only difficulty is to get out from the airport correctly on the route. You have to exit on ground level and walk out from the parking until it ends and enter a pedestrian path. You will pass a good petrol station on the way to hotel, which offers everything one might need! You will see some nature too. Also, next to hotel there is a pizza robot baking house, which bakes hot pizzas (card payment). I know that taxi transfer offered by hotel is 13€ per room. I liked the hotel and room, all clean and modern, comfi beds, comfi pillows. Can open the window for fresh air. There is a bus stop and there is some airport shuttle bus, however, I did not explore that (I think the cost is similar to taxi).

A decent hotel near the airport. Has everything you need for a short stay. It is within walking distance from the airport or even more accessible by car/taxi. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and the amenities were more than adequate. Would stay here again if I have a layover in Charleroi.

We had an early morning flight so we booked in this hotel for the night before. The price included the car parking for the time we were away and the taxi to and from the airport as well - and this didn't cost much more than airport parking for the same period. Everything went well. Friendly and helpful staff. Small but comfortable and clean room. Coffee, snack and drinks dispenser and just outside the building a pizza automat (pizza was quite good). We will book here again when we have an early morning flight.

Transport to the hotel - We got train from Brussels Central to Luttre (we booked tickets online on the SNCB website), and then there is an airport shuttle bus right outside the train station at Luttre. We got off at the stop Gosselies J Mermoz which is right outside the hotel. Transport to the airport - We walked to the airport the next morning (around 15 mins walk). We asked for directions at the hotel and the receptionist was very helpful but the directions were very simple (Turn right out of the hotel, then right at the roundabout, and right again. The airport will be easy to see once at the roundabout. We didn't see any point in getting the airport shuttle as most of the walking is actually through the airport grounds/ car park. The Airport - We weren't the biggest fans of the airport itself (big queues to get through security so make sure to arrive in good time!), but that's another matter. Facilities - The facilities in the room were simple but adequate and reflect the price for the booking. There is a pizza machine right outside the hotel but we didn't use it, and there are microwave meals and vending machines available in the lobby. Hotel was perhaps a bit outdated and in need of some touch ups on paints etc but we found it adequate for our stay Location - There are no shops anywhere nearby, so we walked around 45/50 min to Quick and Lidl because we had nothing else to do!
